Here's the story.
My car car checked-engine light came on, with code
P1381 Cylinder Position (CYP) Sensor Intermittent Interruption. Something with a tune-up the guy told me.
I made an appointment for a 60K tune-up on Friday at Honda of Boston. I didn't really know the name but I know it was not in Boston for sure. So I called and got the price and everything for $300. So lastnight, I remember that I made an appointment for a tune-up, and went to honda.com and got the directions for Cambridge Honda. I was sooo sure it was the same place that I made the appointment.
So off to the morning I went, start up the engine and the Fking check-engine light was gone. I was like "what the hell? this car knows how to play tricks or something?". Got to the Cambridge dealer and the guy told me the tune-up cost $398. I was like, "What the hell? Someone qoute me the price of $300. But I was late for work and luckily recieved my tax refund and left it there. They drove me to the train station and that was cool. About 2 hours later, the other dealer called me, asking if I'm bringing my car in. I was like "oh-****! I was really at the wrong dealer". Cleared that mess up and called Cambridge. Told him what happen, and I was very nice to charge the price of the other dealer with $10 over. That was cool enough.
The lesson was, just give people a call and maybe you save $100 or more. I'm just happy with my car now, it's sooooo smooth after the tune-up. I was like damn, this feels like I just bought a new car! Too bad they changed my oil which was Mobil1 Full Synthetic with the Honda.
