I'm still not sure........this cam gear correct for y8 or z6?
Based off information in this thread: http://www.d-series.org/forums...18375
From that thread, I'm led to believe that any gear that has the keyway offset 4 degrees advanced from TDC is a correct y8 gear, and that any gear with the keyway in line with TDC is a correct z6 gear. One thing I didnt see that was noted was that on some gears TDC bisects a tooth "peak", and on other gears TDC bisects a "valley".
I couldnt find any info one way or the other, so went out on a limb and bought a 96-00 Edelbrock gear, and after reading that thread, I'm still confused as to whether this gear is keyed correctly for a y8 or if its keyed for a 88-95. Refer to attached picture! Discuss!

Oh right, I must realized most people might not read this because it doesnt say "b-series" or "JDM" in the title.

No biggie, I'll just have to advance/retard it 4 degrees to set cam timing to 0, and then once I get it tuned its getting locked down anyways. Was just trying to confirm for the sake of others.
