wat does i mean when the battery light turns on?
your alternator. either a belt or the thing went out. it is probably the belt, so check that first. i wouldn't keepr driving it though because your battery will die
hehe...yea dont keep driving it...had that same damn light on my accord go on...it was my alternator...i thought i could make it home...it really sucks getting stuck on the freeway smack in the middle of rush hour
...i blocked off two lanes cuz i was trying to pull over when my motor started bogging in stop and go traffic ...not cool dude...and my hazards didnt work cuz i drained my battery...dont be an idiot like me... dont drive, fix it

If it turns on while you're driving , first check your belt tension - although it'll usually tell you that its sloppy by squealing . Otherwise , you'll soon find your radio will make some funny noises , your lights will dim and you'll be walking shortly afterwards .
If it comes on at startup and goes off as your revs increase - and your belt is within spec - chances are you've got a faulty diode but its charging fine at higher revs , meaning you'll be able to drive around till you find a replacement .

yea it does exactly that. it stays on when the car is idling and as i go past 5000 rpm it turns off. so where is this diode located at?
