Both Mugen and Toda offer parts for the new '05 model. See my sig for two great shops that can hook you up.

Search for what exactly? This car just came out and it's different than the 02-04. So some companies are researching and developing parts still. Especially suspension.

Thank you to the people that contributed. I'll look further into those companies.

suspension for 05 is diff from 04. its just a small change but it made a huge dif on enabling instalation of the 04 susp. if you want to lower it immediately, there is tein ssp already available for 05. but if you want something else, then you have to use the 02-04 susp.

intake will fit
headers will fit
exhaust will fit

springs and coilovers are in development for the 05 but i havent been payin attention on who has made new products for em. so good luck moddin

what sucks is a lot of sites label their parts for the RSX as 02+ (instead of '05), but in reality, many of those parts won't work... which is why searching for parts for the car is difficult

Beautiful. I love the styling on the 05, its getting back more to its jdm roots and looking more like a new version of the integra rather than some lego-blocked car IMO.

BTW, Has anything changed in the interior? And whats the plate for on the side bolster of the seat. Power?

I've personally driven the 03 rsx type s and I can tell a difference between my 05 type s and previous years.
-Leather is more cushion
-I like the dash a bit better
-I like the stock exhaust tone compared to the previous years
-I like the 17 inch rims better
-Of course the extra 10hp
-Lower then previous years

I dont want people to get the idea that im bashing or saying 05 type s is the best, just giving my personal opinion. One thing I dont like is the 05 talights .

But neways Congrats on new car you're going to love it. you're going to have a lot of fun after you break it in

Default Nice Ride - Congrats...

Congratulations on your new and beautiful ride.

To reiterate what RSXisS has already stated above, break the car in first and don't rush to change things. Get to know the car in its stock form. If and when you decide to change components, you will then be able to compare the differences. More often than not, a car in its stock form is much more capable than the person sitting at the wheel.

My advice... instead of dumping unnecessary money into the car, sign up for a driving school and, if not already there, you will be able to do things with a stock set up better that you ever knew you (or the car) could, and was capable of.

Best of luck and enjoy your ride...

I believe that's the side airbag. The passenger seat has one as well.

Interesting, I was always under the impression that the side airbag came from the door panel somehwere...not sure how that one protects you, but to me its just more unessesary* weight to the car.

Not to push form over function, but the look itself is cleaner. The chasis is stiffer, lowered stance, 10hp more under the hood, and bigger wheel/tire package........whats NOT to like?

Side airbags are usually installed on the sides of the front seats, and like the RSX-S pictured above, my Si also has the side airbags. The airbag from the door panel somewhere you speak of, is the side curtain airbag, which is installed on the A and B pillars. The Si, and I don't believe the RSX/RSX-S, have this option.

Dateline recently did a segment on the benefits of side airbags, and all I have to say is, I'm glad I have them. However, they did touch on a topic that many of the tested cars (no Hondas) failed; weak side impact beams.
