Default I hit a curb again!

Well I hit a curb again but this time with my EM1 witch I barley purchased back from my brother. The wheel looks about a inch pushed back and the steering wheel is off big time . Its most likeley that my LCA is bent (drivers side front) . Could the impact also damage the subframe or is that very unlikely. What else could be damage . The car dosent feel bad at all its just not aligned .

Time to stop driving into curbs perhaps?

You could have shifted the subframe, sure. No way to tell for sure unless you get it up on a rack.

LCA seems the most likely to have suffered, also depends on how you hit and how hard.

Try hitting one going 30+ head on....taught me a good lesson about upgrading the brakes

Among many other things it broke the bolts that hold the two piece lca together clean in half.

I don't know how bad but there was some frame damage.

Ive driven since I was 15 and I hit curbs because of stupidity not because of my style of driving. But this incident forced me to hit a curb to avoid getting hit by another car.

I hit a curb no idea what speed but I'm sure it was over 20 didnt damage the car much just took out about 6 inches off the lip of the rim. It was really a bad day because they stopped making the Data Champs D-09 so I cant replace it.

Man I've been building and driving fast cars for 15 years now, it ain't 'bout lernin' ta drive. I had the speedo pegged at 130 pacing a Denon M5 (can your car do that, **** gobbler?) and wasn't able to slow down fast enough when we came over a big hill and saw some construction going on...car couldn't make a 90 degree turn or slow down fast enough, so I chose the curb over a collision.

Please, let me know how I could have avoided the curb and not smashed another car...most jackasses would have just slammed into the car in front of them, at least I'm considerate lol. That's the only accident I've ever had where I was at fault

"I had the speedo pegged at 130 pacing a Denon M5" -- I dunno .... maybe not doing 130 on the street over blind hills in a constructions zone?

erikiksaz1 - how do you figure? Dumb bitch...

This board has really turned into a bunch of judgemental cry-baby whiners. Somebody needs to toughen you guys up...maybe a walk down Crenshaw would do the trick

I bet your the type of guy who didn't get an education, so he can't afford to go to the track. Then you drive your car into a curb and act as if you did it on purpose, but in reality it was because you were driving over your skill level. Maybe you should got to the track so you can learn to drive on the street w/o hitting curbs or god forbid other people.

Ok, now your turn to call me a name .... **** gobbler seems to be one you like. That'll hurt my feewings LOL Dork

Dumb bitch? I seem to recall that you were the one that plowed into a curb, blaming your brakes for not stopping fast enough. That's laughable.

And you are right, the board has changed, but not quite in the way you described. You figure that the board members have turned judgemental. Are you basing it on your seniority--that you've seen HT's population grow over the past few years? Maybe that should clue you in to show that they're being more judgemental for a reason. As HT's population increases, the number of sound drivers does as well. Now when you have sound drivers faced with reckless drivers like yourself, they begin to make judgements (true ones, at that). And that reason is that we have 29 year old dumbasses like yourself who like to race on the streets, and not take any responsibility for their actions. Instead of blaming yourself, you blame your brakes. Your brakes don't decide to do 150 on local streets/freeways. And brakes don't have the tendency to run you into curbs either,

So how about we grow up a little bit and umm, well, actually, no... New plan. Next time you try to emulate a real race car driver, do us all a favor and drive into a wall, tree, light post, hell, anything relatively unforgiving.

It's not about being "tuff" or "hard"," it's about having more than half a brain. Chasing an M5 at 130 doesn't mean you're more of a man, it just means you're more of an idiot. I praise the "take it to the track" mentality because I want less dumbass goobs like yourself out there to hit me, not because I'm a whiny crybaby. Go risk your own life without risking the lives of other drivers or pedestrians by driving like that either where you're supposed to, or off a cliff. And if you think you're NOT risking anyone's lives, your own included, think about what would've happened if that curb had been one of the roadworkers or maybe a brick wall.

hitting a curb on the freeway is noones fault but your own, yeah i'll take off and destroy the mustang next to me on stop lights, but i dont go 10mph past the speedlimit. flying down the freeway at more than double the speedlimit is just retarded, i recommend you stopping it. I'm not trying to be your mom, but i've had friend call me at 3 in the morning telling me they flew of the freeway. Repairs are never cheap, and bones dont heal overnight man.
