Default D16y8 crank fit a D16z6 block with no modifications?

Will this work ok with using all z6 internals just swapping crank? Will this change the stroke? I have a bad z6 crank and a good y8 crank and would like to use it.

It's been a while since I've seen them sitting next to each other, but I don't remember any differences.
