Small Clanking Sound when backing up
Hey guys,
I just sold my 96 Accord and picked up an 03 EX (Sweet) It has 4 wheel disks. What happens is after I back up, then go forward again, I can hear the brakes kinda clank, like they are shifting back into position.
Is this normal? Its not real loud, just a decent Click.
Thanks for any help guys.

Usually it's just the pads shifting a tiny amount from the direction change. For example, when you apply the brakes backing up the pad shift clockwise a hair. Then the first time you hit the brakes going forward they shift counter clockwise again. Depending how fast you're moving it can be very noticable. I know there is a kit for the CR-V, Ody and Pilot to correct it but I don't know on Accords. Get the complaint more on other models and rarely on 7th gen accords.
On a side note my 97 sedan starts doing it about every 6 months and I have to pull the pads out and lube the shims to make it stop.

I noticed both front and back brakes are pretty dirty, I think I will give em a good cleaning this weekend, maybe it will help a bit. Thanks for the replies.
I will, but my dealer is not the easiest to work with, anytime I can do a small fix myslef, I will. I have an appointment for saturday, hopefully I dont get the runaround.
