Tearing frame?

Default Tearing frame?

I want to buy sway bars and strut bars to improve the handling of my car, but i don't know much about it. I know if i buy the wrong one or something like that i can damage the frame of my car or something.. I dunno someone school my on struts and sway bars. And what order should i get them in. Thanks!!

new coilovers and a new pair of struts will help a great deal.

What you are referring to is if you buy a bigger rear sway bar you run the risk of tearing the rear subframe. If you get a reinforcement bar like at a-spec-racing.com you should have no problems with tearout.

Also the higher the spring rate in the rear the less chance of tearout. Hope that helps.

DO i absoulutely need thr reinforcement bar kit? Or can i use use normal (not heavy rear sway bars..)

Most people tend to agree that smaller bars don't need them. The 99-00 Si came with a 13 or 14mm bar and I haven't heard of anybody tearing with that puppy.

what would yous guys recommend for the back? well the whole set up. I plan to get omni Full Coilovers what additions to it should i get?! (detail please) thanks

just get the Bsq kit bc its affordable and i have no problem with tearing up my subframe yet... im currently running itr sway+bsq and omni street

well since we're on the subject of frame tearing with the sways, what are some good places to look for reinforcements besides a-spec-racing.com? for my dc2 perhaps? On a different note, since i can't find nething about this, is there ever a too thick for sways?

with that said.. i have a 00 SI and i was thinking of getting the ITR sway.. do i need the ASR reinforement to save my subframe? is there a substitute?

i'm on agx kyb / tein if that's needed
