Weird Noise and Vibration
i have a 93 civic sir sedan. when i brought the car i did all the normal cv checks and gave the car a good run before i purchased it.only days later i noticed a bad noise in my steering.
the noise happens when i have the car on close to or full lock to the right. when i accelerate on the lock to take off from a standing start the noise starts in the front right wheel. it is a clunking noise and it sends a vibration through the wheel and steering wheel. the noise can be quite a violent noise sometimes. once the wheels are straight and the car is travelling at speed there is no sign of the noise. its only on the right hand down side.the left side is fine. i have been told it could be bearings in the gearbox or just inner or outer cvs. has this happened to anyone else???
