TPS Sensor ? Please Help
hopefully some one can help me, i bought a 1993 dx hatch has about 156,xxx on it. for some reason at any rate of speed the car wants to cut out, stall, jerks or something, the mph gauge flicks up and down and at a complete stop the car just dies out,
its wierd some people have told me its the igniton coil and some others have told me its the tps sensor please help HONDA-TECH

if it was the coil i think the car would just not start or even run, to see if it was ur tps some would have to check it, see if there is voltage dips in it which would cause the stalling and such

Could it be the master relay (I think thats what its called). I have a similar problem but my car will start to studder, if I switch the ignition off then back on it everything is OK again, but the speedo doesnt turn off. Some one on Honda Tech said that this could be my problem and might be yours

I would be thinking along this line here...you are losing or shorting an electrical connection somewhere

Not really....actually sounds very out of place
And to the poster...electrical issues are a PITA...I do not know that your dealer will be in a better position to fix it,over a small garage. Generally when something like this gets looked at, its hourly. If your mechanic is competant you may end up paying a little less than at a delaership based upon hourly rates.
