Default 92 accord engine into 95 accord

Well, my cousin needs an engine for his 95 accord obviously, and I have a friend of mine that has a 92 accord engine and is willing to sell it to me as a short block for $250 complete running engine just bot the accessories. Will this motor work in a 95? I was looking at the engine code and it's different 92 is f22a1 95 is f22b2. What are the difference in the 2 if any? The only thing I could think of that would be different is the ECU. What would I have to change someone let me know thanks.

i think they will fit, but why not spend an extra 100 or 200 and get the right motor from a junkyard or off ebay or something? get the vtec that has enough power to move that heavy body

Well I have yet to find something cheaper then $700 shipped plus this is a friend I can trust so I know its a good motor just want to know if I need to change anything. I was reading a thread just a minute ago saying that the cam design is different and fuel maps and stuff like that . So do I need a new ECU with this motor?

wow, what is with the worthless swaps around here these days? by doing this you will have to develop a custom lower header assembly so the pipes will line up, and you will lose a total of 5bhp. i guess if your not looking for performance then it wouldnt be too bad, but the custom header assembly would suck

From what i read the 92 accord engine hsas 140 hp and this one has 130 hp. That custom header thing sucks though guess we will have to see about that.

f22a6 (ex and se) 140 hp
f22a1 (dx and lx) 125 hp

it will fit perfectly, you wont even have to modify the harness, the only thing you would have to worry about is the header

What about the ECU? I heard the fuel maps were different for it and that deals with the ECU. I guess I need to check which engine it is again.

Won't be legal but it will work. What trim level is the 95?
