can any1 tell me the problem without getting a leak down. Compression on the piston on the left side is 60. Could a blown headgasket cause a low compression in 1 cylinder or is it most likely rings. It smokes from exhaust. help me thanks.

 

Could be ring lands or head gasket.Either way the head's coming off.Should be obvious when you get that far.

Yea thats what i am trying to figure out so i can get ready.

I was thinking if it is smoking and i lose coolant, it would be a head gasket.

Would a blown hg cause 1 cylinder low compression?I feel loss of power and now when i drive it is rough.

If it runs without loosing coolant and milkshaking the oil it is most likely ring lands.A head gasket can show low compression in one cylinder only,but you would have other symptoms.

Yea i lose some coolant and smoke and low compression in 1 cylinder. When i replace my head gasket I just dont want to be surprised with a bad ring and then i have to get the parts and have some more down time. thanks
