Do you mean hubcentric as opposed to lugcentric?

Spacers - anytime you do not fit the wheel FLUSH with the hub you run the risk of a wheel working it's way loose. Also, when you run spacers you need to make sure you still have <U>proper thread engagement./U] When you run the spacers, they pull the lug nut away from the hub, causing less threads to be used.....not good.
Hub-centric rings - Wow, the underline deal is kinda screwed up here, but anyways the hub centric rings are strictly for ride quality. They are generally to help improve the balance of the tire and wheel at freeway speeds or higher. DO NOT use the spacer and hub centric ring, they WILL NOT work together and your wheel will fall off.
There is no such thing as "lug centric." 99% of all wheels use the lug nuts and bolt pattern to help center the wheel onto the vehicle, wether it's a ball seat lug nut or a cone seat, they serve the same purpose but it is IMPORTANT to use cone seat lug nuts with cone seat wheels, ball seat with ball seat.

Hmm...then what is more important? Spacers or hubcentric rings? The reason I ask is because I'm interested in getting Volks, but I want the hubcentric rings so that they're flush with the hub, rather than relying on the lugs. However, the offset might be a little too low for my car so I don't want to rub.
1994 Honda Prelude
Wheels Gramlight 57pro, 17 x 7, 40 offset, and my car is currently lowered on Neuspeed Sports. I doubt I will rub right now since the width isn't that wide and an offset of 40 will barely make it, but I have plans to lower the car with Eibach Sportlines in the future which worries me.

Do 205-40-17's. My main concern would be it rubbing in the back. Eiback sportlines are fairly stiff and I have owned a set, but I would recommend the H&R over the Eibach's, they give a much better stance...the Eibach's tend to sag in the rear.
I was debating between the Eibach Sportline vs the H&R Race, and I wanted a new set of springs that were definitely stiffer since mine are way too soft. I hate going off-topic, but are the Sportlines and the Race fairly similar in stiffness?
