Default Gonna be installing walbro 255lph help IDing parts and question about fuel line size

Hi guys,

I'm gonna install my Walbro 255lph HP fuel pump in a few days and I wanted to make sure I knew where all the little parts in the Walbro kit are supposed to go. I've read about some people not using all the little pieces. I dont wanna end up with any extra pieces either so I want to make sre I know how it all fits together.

It all looks pretty straightforward:

I'm supposed to have that little white piece on the bottom right attached to the bottom of the pump right? and on top of that little white adapter goes a small washer?

Just wantd to make sure, I'm supposed to use that white adapter with washer on top. Here is what it looks like.

Now here is a pic of that washer which looks like it goes on top of the white adapter. Now about those two smaller washers with the flared inner part...where do those go?

From the looks of it those two tiny washers go onto the small round posts, one of which is on the bottom of the fuel pump and the other post is on the bottom of the white adapter. These tiny rings wont go onto the posts easily, I would have to force them on. I'm guessing that they are retaining rings,. One tiny ring keeps the white adapter onto the fuel pump, and the other tiny ring keeps the filter onto the white adapter. What do you guys think?

I also had one more question about the size of the rubber fuel line on the outside of the tank connected to the hard line. I've read about people breaking the fuel line which goes to the hardline because it was old. Is this fuel line 5/16"? I wanna buy a section of fuel line in case mine breaks while I'm working on it. I just wanna make sure I have the right size.

Thanks

Yah, just a few minutes ago I said "screw it", and used those tiny washers to hold the white adapter and filter in place. Now I just need to know what size rubber fuel lione to get in case one of the ones on the outside of the fuel tank breaks. From the looks of it those fuel lines are 5/16", so that's the size I'm gonna go with.

Hey guys,

I had another question about the fuel line above the fuel tank. I read about somebody breaking the hardline when they did the install.

I have a spare SS line which somebody used as a fuel feed line from the fuel filter to their fuel rail. The line appears to be 5/16" inner diameter, and I'm almost certain the 9 degree elbow they have on there is threaded the same as the fuel banjo bolts. If I break the hard line fuel line I should be able to use this line I have right? the 90 elbow can replace the banjo fitting and bolt, I just have to install a crush washer, and the other end of the SS line should be able to go onto the other end of where the hard line goes to.

what do you guys think?
