89 Civic DPFI Throttle Help
I have an 89 civic Hatch with dpfi. I recently put a new motor in with new throttle body I had to switch the linkage with my old linkage cause the new motor was from a 5 speed tranny. ever since i changed the linkage the throttle sticks at about 2k. I do not know if I put the washers back in the wrong order or if i got to make the spring tighter. Im hoping someone could help. If you need more info or for me to explain better you can e-mail me at W1ck3dillusi0nz@aol.com! Thanks
heres a little test, You know your stuff, It seems like it to swap motors. anyways. Turn the spring by hand. and see if it revs. if it revs past 2k, then it IS your linkage, if it doesnt theres something impeding the Revs. ECU, ignition.... who knows. also if it sticks the Return spring MIGHT be worn out? or theres a kink in the linkage.
Just before I recieved your post. I went and swapped the return spring with a new one and its working fine now. the old one had a little rust damage.
