Default New 05 SI owner dumb questions post

Hey all, just came home with a new 05 SI!!!!!!!!!
My first new car was a 85 CRX SI, so 20 years later got my second honda.
First question is whats some reputable online parts vendors with exhaust, and interior parts? (Like the sound my Borla exhaust had on my Miata [traded it for the SI], but it doesn't look like Borla has a cat-back for the SI?)
Second question (proably shoud have been the first question) is I thought the 05 SI had a K20A3 motor, so what is a "Civic EP3"? Or asked another way, is this the right forum to ask 05 SI questions?

Thanks all
Jerry

EP3 is the chassis code for '02+ civic hatchbacks, so this is the right forum for you. Most Honda guys refer to their body style with this code. For example, my '03 RSX-S is a DC5. And your EP3 does have a K20A3. Try http://www.modacar.com or http://www.jhpusa.com or http://www.optauto.com

And, yes, Borla has a catback for the EP. A couple years ago, Borla themselves came onto another forum and asked EP owners what they would like -- and Borla delivered.

this is a great site for info but also check out ephatch.com it is dedicated to just the EP3 and has plenty of vendors for you to purchase from. Enjoy the car and the modding!

The only Borla cat-bak system is for an 01-02 SI (PN140047), checked with Borla, they said it had been discontinued A local dealer verified it with there supplier
Further digging around on the Borla site revealed they did show this system on clearance But will a cat-bak system for a 01-02 SI fit a 05 SI??? Borla said the likely issue would be how the brake lines are routed.

Again, thanks for all the replies

Thanks, how does it sound on the highway at around 4K RPM? Had a borla on a Miata, and sounded great, but after a hour at a steady 80MPH it got kinda old. But that was on a convertible. The one at NOPI is the same one I am looking at so guess it fit the 04 fine?
