1998 Accord Alternator Problems
I am replacing the dead alternator on my 1998 EX Accord.
Can someone tell me how to get it out of the engine compartment?
Exactly what else do I need to remove to be able to get the un-bolted alternator out and install my new one?
Any comments or help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Fred

if you have a 4-cyl, all you have to do is remove the belt, then the bolts, including the adjustment and pivot bolts. the alternator just comes right off...
if you have a V6, you'll also need to remove the condensor fan assembly so that you have room to pull it out.

Does that include the entire radiator assembly or do the fans separate from that?
If it is the entire radiator, is there a drain plug or line?

No, just the condensor fan assembly.. (motor, blades, shroud). Just unplug the connector from the fan motor, and I think it's 4 bolts that hold the assembly to the radiator...
And for future reference, yes there is a drain plug for the radiator. You should be able to see it from the bottom.
