Default Im thinking of buying a 93 prelude, what do you guys think about 1800?

I sold my lude and got a 01 accord f23 vtec, five speed, custom dark candy blue with silver and dark flakes. Anyway I really miss my lude. And I was gonna get a 2003 Yamaha r6, but recently found a 93 5 speed(not sure of model) milano red(not faded pink like some of my friends 4th gen and other hondas) , That has high mileage and is sold as is with small dent to rear driver fender and trunk, 1400 for a nice paint job and another couple hundred for cf trunk(at the shop I use) Do you guys think this 1800 a good deal? The frame is straight and it runs, Im of course gonna buy it solely to put a built h22 in./ Thanks,
James

You get what you pay for...

Find out what model it is. If it's a Prelude S then its probably just cheap because the engine sucks, and you can use it for the swap.

1800 sounded good to me even for a rolling chasis.

i think depending on the damage it would be worth it if you were to keep the car, but not if u plan on selling and making any money.

edit:btw- i have a spare h series or 2 here and your local

I bought my 92 Si 4WS almost 3 years ago for $1800.

Body has no rust, paint was fine (except for roof), and the engine was taken care of VERY well.

It needed the following:
COMPLETE exhaust
pass. side headlight
new clutch
axles
tires
brakes
windshield
AC compressor was bad.
It was due for a timing belt and water pump change too.

Let's just say it was nothing an H22 swap couldn't fix. Besides, I was going to change all that anyway.

If the car you are looking at has a good body and runs, I think it's a good deal. Sounds like a good project car.

I almost have all the minor and major issues fixed on my car. The swap fixed most of them. It's a GREAT way to give the car another life.

I'm attempting to do the same thing over again with the 240SX I bought.
