Im goin to take a look at a 98 Integra today but i was just wondering how to tell which model it is by just looking at it (or lookin at a tag thats on the door or something)?

DC2 = GS-R coupe (or ITR)
DC4 = LS, RS, GS, SE coupe
DB8 = GS-R sedan
DB7 = LS, RS, GS, SE sedan</TD></TR></TABLE>
Well chances are its gunna be either a RS or LS, but how can i tell between the 2 of them?

it doesn't really matter. they're practically the same. the only difference is that the LS came standard with things that are optional on RS, like power locks, ABS etc. so you could actually have an RS that is 100% identical to an LS.
edit: actually, i think they did away with the RS in 98, so you're probably looking at an LS or GS, but pretty much like i said above. GS came with some things standard that the LS didn't, like leather seats, different wheels. whatever.

Like Padawan said, If you have the VIN number, you can find out for sure. The VIN number for a 1994 RS 2 door coupe, 5 speed would be JH4DC4341RSXXXXXX while the LS would be JH4DC4351RSXXXXXX

actually they didnt do away the RS in 98 because i do own a 98 RS, maybe it was 99 where they did away with it.
Also a major way to tell between an RS and an LS is that the RS has no moonroof while the LS does.

Well the car is a RS, said it right on the tag inside the door.
Also got 1 more Q...only thing that was wrong with the car was, there was water in the trunk where the spare tire is...BUT all the carpet and crap was dry....is there a main area that the trunks are known to leak that i can look at when i take it out to get the rest of the car checked?
The guy said there shouldnt have been water in there (of course) and he doesnt know y there was...i looked and from what i could see the seals were fine and didnt look like there were any holes (was just a fast look though)

Usually that's due to the taillight gaskets going bad. Water will seep through the gasket, into the taillight, and then leak out of the back into the trunk. Odds are that the carpet was wet before, but it dried out and the only water left is in the spare tire well. I know Patrickgsr94 had some issues with leaking, so do a search and you can find out how easy it is to solve.
