I am getting ready to add some bolt ons and work up to the Hondata and supercharger. Someone over at ephatch was saying a Jackson race header with 2.5" pipe and the stock muffler would be a good setup for FI. I was wondering if anyone here has done that and how well the flow is and how loud things end up being. Also wondering how this will work until the supercharger gets put on. Will the larger pipe cause a drop in power until the fi is added?

just wait and do everthing at once. But no, the stock exhaust will suck going FI. Chunky runs a custom 3" exhaust, loud as a mother ****** and I don't think he lose much power (except a little low-end).

 

You mean he didnt lose any power running the 3" without FI?

So I guess you are suggesting running a race header and a wide open exhaust all the way back?

 

my girlfriend's 05 si has a 2.5 collector in the rear section parton the muffler, and the front part the pipe is like 1 3/4 or 2 in i dunno but its really small. but with fi you want more flow, the more the better.. i and running just 3 in mandrel bent pipeing and no muffler on my turbo setup in my ek.
