84.5MM New LS Block For Sale. So. CA.
ah good questions.
it has been resleeved. if you look at the block to sleeve clearance you can see that these are some thicker sleeves than oem. it has been resleeved to 84.5mm and has not yet been run so the block and sleeves are fresh.

Aluminum sleeves?
So what happens when you start it up w/ some nice CP's in them.
Turns back into big chunks of 'stalk aluminum.' LOL
Can't run aluminum sleeves unless you're running IRON pistons.

I'm pretty sure they are made of aluminum cause it has sat in my garage for over a week now and it does not have any rust on the sleeve and aluminum doesn't rust. I don't know about that piston comment you made though. That doesn't make sense 'casue I have run his blocks before without a problem. I have never run CP's. Only Weiscos but they aren't made of iron.

Think about this man. Honda motors have alumminum sleeves. That just doesn't add up in my add?
Anyways bump for a good block and sleeves

Soy bean,
Ok you are right. After doing research you are right but I was wrong on two points. The first being your point and the second being the material of the block. I called the machinist. I thought it was alumminum - it's not. I tested it by putting a magnet to the block. It stuck to the sleeves. It is a an iron sleeve.
Good **** learn stuff each day.
