v6 and i4 same suspenison?
Does anyone know if the v6 and the i4 6th gen accord can use the same coilover? I did a quick search and nothign came up, but on the tanabe website they state the same parts number for both v6 and i4. I just want to confirm this before i buy a set of used tanabe coilover. the owner also that i can't use it.
most coilovers use the same part numbers, but some don't. the only difference in the stock suspensions is the front spring rates (due to the additional weight of the V6). for this specific situation, yes, tanabe uses the exact same setup for the 4cyl and V6.
the spring rate should be different, well at least for 6th gen accord, most of the aftermarket spring have different serial number for 4banger and v6(which you guessed it, nose heavy)
but some coilover have the same application, since you could dial in the ride height and damper individually and the thing fits perfectly.
and the comment on tanabe, i would compare and make my decision based on eibach's application chart instead(eibach>tanabe)

yeah everything will be the same except for spring rate....ive seen people put 4cyl springs on a 6 cyl all it does it lower it even more than if it were on a 4.
