i have a 5th gen accord sedan, and i want to remove the orange reflectors from my taillights. It is impossible to get the reflector out without somehow cutting open the plastic housing. is there a safe way that i can open it up and effectively reclose the backs of the taillight housings?
I did this and I do not recommend it. It ***** up your light assembly. The light assembly holes where my sockets go, got wore out but, it is in decent condition. Just put an extra washer on the socket so it’s not loose.
Take needle nose pliers and some type of cutter and cut that amber reflector into pieces and take it out. This is a bitch to do. I would try to buy them if possible. After you are done, get clear caulking that you use for your bathroom. Seal all of the holes so water doesn’t get in.
my ricey *** accord 69k on it

I wish i had smoked clear trunk lights. I can't get those clear ***** off because the bolt turns inside the plastic. so it just left it there

Yeah I did this back in the day when I had my Accord, I just took the tail lights out and very very carefully used a soldiering iron and you can melt them out through the socket whole, you do this by simply cutting through the amber bulb cover like melting a x through them. I hope you can understand what I am saying, but you have to be very careful how you do this because you will melt the bulb socket whole if you aren't careful. Well here is a picture of my old 96 Accord.

Oh man whats wrong you don't have any love for the Tanabe Super Spec Racing Medalion full catback exhaust? That exhaust sounded so good I miss it.

Yeah as I said this was back in the day, but I had stock lights everywhere else, and I had amber bulbs in the signal so it is all good, but now I moved on to smaller and better things.
