Default Let's see pics of a *cleanly done* B16 swap - no hacks please

I recently purchased my first EF (been wanting one for a long time!). It's a DX trim with 151k miles on the odometer, but it is very clean in and out except for a little rust on the passenger side rocker panel. I have molested cars in the past and I swore to myself Im not going to molest this little EF, since its still all OEM and so nice.

I've added a few SI upgrades (pass side mirror, tach, clock) but im thinking that the d15 will definitely have to go eventually and that the B16 will go in. One thing im concerned about, is to keep the car OEM looking both from the outside and in the engine bay.

So, is it possible to get a B16 installed into an EF and NOT have an engine bay that looks hacked up (I've seen plenty of B16 swaps with wiring all over the place, cheap looking intakes, etc). Is there a stock intake that will work with the B16 manifold?

Another question I have, is about the engine mount set...I understand some engine mounts need to be changed in order to mount the B series motor into the D series engine bay - so is there a set of mounts that are NOT super rock hard poly urethane and wont rattle my teeth out?

my newly acquired DX:

This is mine. I kept all OEM wiring and tubes I didn't remove anything. I attached the 5 wire subharness to the big one. My only problem was that the hood rubbed a bit on the engine... I had to shim it down a tad. All I did for the intake was use the B16 intake and attached it to the OEM one. As for mounts I used the HCP 1st gen but never again... I just didn't like it.

what mounts are you guys using now? too soft or too hard? I've had full polyurethane mounts before, never again

I like your bay Don. OEM looking = good.

my swap is clean, and is not a hack job by any means.

all of my wiring is saudered, and loomed and zipped into place.

Thanks, I didn't change the mounts as the car was stolen 1 month after these pics were taken (My old CRX Si SE). I also want something stock feeling but am unsure as to what I should put... I'm actually thinking of modifiying the monuts by welding them in for my new B series in the new car but... I am not sure... I'd prefer 4 mounts like the OEM...

Here's mine.

I don't have a stock intake, but I think the install was overall very clean:

the last two are extremely clean and yes, yours is to Magick211, but taking the charcoal canister out just seems dangerous to me. Plus I have heard that it puts off a gas smell. Why do you do this if it is dangerous? I mean it is clean as FU*K I wish I would but I worry about it. Have any of you noticed a gas smell if no what did you do to get around it? I want my bay area that clean. Clean enough to at on!

I got no gas smell, its just a vent tube and you can put it under the car.

did you extend it? where do you have it at? aren't you worried the gas vapors will ignite?
