I have a 99 4dr Accord. I'm gonna buy some rims today they are 18x7.5 w/ 255/40/18 Sumitomo rubber. WILL THEY RUB WHEN I TURN? I've heard they will and they won't: I need facts plz!!, so I can relax.

 

uif your worried get 17" also... is your car lowered or are you going 4x4 style?

 

4x4 style, for now.

I've already ordered the rims, the place I ordered them from said they won't but since then I've heard different.

well all i can say is to try em' they are already order'd if they don't fit either send em' back or sell em'

 

they wont rub if youre car is still in off road mode.

They will be just fine. I ran a 215/35/18 on my Accord, with no problems, and it was lowered 2 inches.

 

If you're serious about running 255!/40's on 18's then you will definately rub... I wouldnt recommend anything over 225/40 on a 6th gen... I have 215/40/18's on my 00 coupe with a 1.5" drop and it doesnt rub.. you may have to roll your fenders...

i got 225-35-19 nitto555 and i get no rub

THEY'RE FINALLY ON! They don't rub. I love it.

I think I might invest in some lowering components it looks like I might be able at least an inch. Any advice would be helpful.
