Default Honda Accord TPS (Help!)

My TPS sensor has been having some serious issues. I noticed it first during some wet weather about 4 months ago. While driving (60-75 mph) the car suddenly drops its RPM's, then raises it, then
drops it, again and again.

So, the engine tripped an error, and it seemed it was the tps (error
code 7), I had the tps replaced with a used one, and once again about
a month later it did the same thing all over again. Feeling no other
option, I had the entire throttle body replaced (since honda doesnt
sell new tps sensors for 97 accords by itself), and it drove fine for about 2
weeks, the once again same problem, same error code. So I replaced the
wiring and the connector to the sensor with a brand new one from Honda, once again about 2 weeks later during wet weather, rpms freak out, and my engine light
comes on.

The only solutions left are to start replacing the computer / wiring
harness... and Im about at the edge of insanity (and going poor). Has anyone seen this issue? I've done some serious google searching, and seen similiar issues, but no solutions.

Any Help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

josh

My TPS is bad, and mine just sputters and looses power. I have a manual transmission and when I'm in lower gears, it just hops forward the same way it would if I was just learning how to drive a manual. I just disconnected my TPS because I cant afford to replace it right now. My understanding is that the computer just substitutes a value in for it if its not there. My car works fine now without it other than the CEL and it idles around 1500 rpm. I've learned to live with it until I can afford a new one. Try disconnecting yours and see if it fixes the issue. Good luck

As far as I know, when the tps sensor trips too many times the engine does disable it, the problem is with my automatic transmission, without the tps it shifts really really late, causing the car's avg mpg to shoot through the roof (gas prices suck right now). As I said tho, this is a brand new throttle body, and the sensor tested fine. the car runs normal at idle, and runs fine 99% of the time. On humid/rainy days is when the sensor freaks out (randomly not every rainy day). I'm also wondering if there is anything other then the tps sensor that could cause the same error message?

Anyhow thanks for the follow ups I really appreciate the help.
