OEM kit guys. Do the sides and rears have black outlines on them?
I am getting my sides painted and installed soon. I have seen many pictures of the OEM sides and rears installed. Some pics look as if the kit pieces blend in with the rest of the car and are hard to see, while others have a distinct outline, especially noticeable on the sides where it flares up. I would prefert the look of it standing out. For those of you that have it, is it just something I am seeing on pics, or is it painted a certain way?
yup, my OEM side skirts have a black rubber strip about 1/4" tall.
I am pretty sure the rear lips have them too, but I don't have them...

I have them, side and rear, It looks good with that outline specially my ITR is PY, I have seen them on CW's as well and it looks gorgeous. I guess it does not matter on NBP ITR's though.

I believe the rubber is there to protect your paint from scratching.
Try looking at home depot or lowe's.....

I'm sure that if you don't have the black rubber on your side skirts you can get some thin weatherstripping and put it on the inside of the side skirt where it flares up. That way it won't rub on the car.
