engine swap in 91 crx si
my friend's motor just blew and we were wondering if there was an easy swap we could do without putting in another slow stock crx motor? what would be an easy application for a new motor? what's everyone else do? i was thinking a B18, but i realize there's a lot to go into it. Suggestions are open. i'm a Chevy mechanic and don't know alot about these things, but if you give me ideas i'm sure i can figure it out. thanks for all who post.
if i could do it all again in a nut shell, bore a d16z6/y8 to 1.7-1.8 and t3/to4e 57 trim, 60-1. and have some pocket change left
to answer Q, you also have 92-00 D16 vtecs thats basically a bolt on. just switch driver mount and use the 88-91 driverside motor mount 88-91 si tranny and 88-91 trans mount, civic/crx doesnt matter. you can keep the current obd0 setup. although it would be more efficient to go obd1.

also here http://www.norcalcrx.org/droppedcrxsi/ he has a parts list for swap and step by step how to for b18 and b16. Bseries are all the same. Vtec will just require you to run 2 wires from ecu to vtec solenoid.
