Coilovers and suspension
Hi all
I take it most of u are from usa so greetings from the uk. 5th gen prelude is a bit Neglected over here which sucks.
anyway being limited on options I bought some megan racing coilovers which I think might have been a bad idea, I should have understood what i was buying.
can these be easily put on stock shocks or do i have to modify the shocks such as welding on the adjustable sleves. just buy looking at the kit I don't understand how these go on??
would it be better to buy some koni shocks and would the coilovers go straight on or would I have to modify these??
any help appreciated.

First of all, there is no welding required to put on coilover sleeves, they simply slide over the shock body sometimes using the rubber spacers that should have been supplied to you to stop and side to side wiggling. Putting the coilovers on stock struts is not a good idea because of the dampening. The stock struts are made to go with stock springs, at stock ride height, You would be MUCH better off buying some koni shocks if you can get those and also selling your coilovers for ground controls or skunk2's or something of better quality. Let us know and good luck!
PS sorry 5th gens are neglected over there
