Default Springs without struts....

Ok quick question. I wanted to get some lowering springs for a 98 Prelude Base. But my freind was telling me if u buy just springs the sturts will go out fast. Also that it is bad for the suspension. Any one know anything about this? Anyone have just springs and stock struts. I searched around alittle and couldn't really find what i was looking for. Any help would be great thanks.

you can keep the stock struts depending on the drop of the sping and the rates...go for a sport spring that keeps a relatively low (but higher than stock) spring rate...and have fun...but it wouldnt hurt to upgrade the shocks down the road.
BTW any drop is putting undue stress on the suspension,,,thats why you have to keep a good eye on things
