Hondata Error...
I emailed hondata the other day about the ecu swaps they had listed for accords:
Email: You listed the B18B ecu as a ok swap for a 96 accord but that it wont have
VTEC control so in a 96 EX accord if this swap is done vtec will not engage?
If your stage 2 add on was used would this regain VTEC capability?
Reply: Thank you for picking up this mistake. The Civic EX P28 ECU will work fine
for a manual VTEC Accord. The B18B ECU is not appropriate.

on a simular topic, is the hondata really worth it, or is it hype? I looked at the dyno pages, and it doesn't look like it is worth the money to me. If I didn't already have the VAFC, I would say "what the hell", but I couldn't see getting too much more hp out of it. (maybe 1-2hp more.) What do you guys think?
Its worth it if you dont have a VAFC because you can tune to each individual cam, plus its upgradable for boost, nos, or any FI. And you can get the programmer to tune it yourself when you reach a dyno.. Meaning maps, timing, all that poo poo. Makes having a VAFC, FMU, and some other parts unecessary.
