will running cd-r cd's on my stock player mess the player up??
hey guys just wanted to know how burned music cd's affected our stock cd player, i have played a few a couple of times but id like to know the effects on the cd player itself, will i have problems after a period of time?? will the laser eye get messed up?? any one with experiences with this please share
They will either play or they won't. You can't damage the laser by playing CD-R/CD-RWs. Why would you think that?
I doubt it. But I will tell you this, I hace an old sony cd player (home unit) that used to play cdr's for a bit, amd now it plays nothing.
i am 100% sure it will NOT mess up the cd player. every cd's at the store were burned in the first place by manufacturers so i don't see why a homemade cd would hurt it.
the only time i've heard this is when the service manager did not want to replace under warranty (for free) the defective (p-e0 error) headunit on our 99 prelude... i've played burned CD's in pretty much all our CD players at home, in the cars, and they have not messed up... even my 6 year old Sony discman plays CD-Rs and its still working
