Default LX in a 91 CRX HF

My friend got a 2000 civic LX auto. and gonna do a B18c swap. Well he was wondering if the LX motor will fit his 91 CRX HF and what do he need. His CRX is a 5spd.

Thanks.

Default Re: LX in a 91 CRX HF (1990hf)

ya it will fit, i would use get a pm6 ecu and run the hf's wiring harness, and everything bolts up, but the hf has a black box with emmission controlls, i think there is a few things that dont get hooked up.

he would also need another intake manifold, i would get a crx si manifold since it will have the obd0 injectors, and everything will bolt up.

as for the 5 speed situation, he needs to remove the torque converter, and get a clutch, flywheel and pressurplate, and also a OBD0 si transmission since they are cable.

he could use the Hf's transmission but they are geared horribly, so take advantage of the 30+ hp increase, and get a si tranny.
