Default transmission trouble?

I just recently installed a b16a into my 91 crx si. I took it out for a spin. I was able to shift into 1st and 2nd and 3rd, but when I put it in 4th or 5th it wont get into gear. When engage in gear and I apply more gas it seems as if its slipping on the clutch. Another thing is it is not so easy to push in neutral. Any help? I tried searching the forums for details but no results. Thanks in advance.

Wow. Is the transmission in good condition?
Have you opened it up and looked inside?

could it possibly be the clutch cable or shift linkage. A new clutch has been installed before we dropped the motor, but we didnt open up the tranny.

What shift linkage and mounts did you use for the swap?

yeap, if you made your own shift linkage, it may be binding and it's time to change all the bushings. BUT I have a feeling that maybe the trany is shaity.

avid motor mounts. shift linkage from the person i bought the motor from. it was in a running car and it was fine. I took the bushings off. where the shifter connects. because it was bent sort of and the bushing wouldnt fit.

also there is tranny fluid in it.

Its slow becoming easier to move. does it take some time for the tranny fluid to go in?

Check to see if the linkage is binding up on the exhaust system.
