Default My new toys (Kosei K1 15x7") and comparison with 16x7.5" with Azenis tires

My 205/50x15" Azenis tires came in yesterday Took a week to get them. The setup works great so far, and pulling into the parking lot this morning with all the gravel and salt they put down from the snow kicked up everything with these tires. So far the 15x7" 45mm offset is not rubbing, and I am awaiting my 2mm spacers.

Here's the size of the 205/50x15" tire:

And the 215/45x16" tires:

Now I am waiting to see if I can also run the 16s (since they rubbed everywhere) with my Koni Yellows and 350/400 GC springs which I will be receiving next week

But yeah you can see in those pics that the 215 and the 205s are almost the same width - CRAZY STUFF I TELL YA!

Oh man, am I jealous. That's the exact the size/wheel/tire combo I'd like to get (except for the K1s in white). Still need to negotiate this year's "racing" budget with the wifey...

Hope they don't disappoint! When's your next racing event? I look forward to hearing how it all works.

Hey, how much do each of those setups weigh? Is there a significant penalty with the 16s over the 15s? I'm considering 16s over 15s due to larger tire selection.

The 16s weighed 32lbs total if I remember right. Forgot to weigh the 15s.

Next event is this Saturday at Philly

I'm trying to scrub off as much tire wax (whatever its call) off the tires to get them ready for Saturday, but it's raining like mad today. Overall they grip great no tire spinning today like my stock Michelins.

Is everyone buying these locally? or online?

I see discounttiredirect carries them, but they're out of stock. It would be nice to be able to buy the tires/wheels together, less hassle. oh well.
