I am around 25k miles on my last set of tires that I bought, KUMHO ESCTA 712, which replaced my stock michellins. I notice that Kumhos almost need replacing....I can probably scew out another 5-6k miles. Is this normal for the Kumho Escta????? The tread rating on these are 340! While the stock Michelins were only 220. However, I got 50k miles on my stock Michellins. I rotate my tires every 6-7k miles and DO NOT drive like a mad man. Most of the miles are daily freeway commuting miles.

Anyway, any experiencing the same problem with fast tread wear on the Kumho Estca??????? After this set is gone, I will look into another brand....something that will last a little longer

 

not personally, but i can recall 3 people having similar issues with the ecsta 712's.

 

they are soft tires, I wouldn't recommend them for a car used as a daily driver. I usually see good wear out of the cheap yokohama model with 420 tread wear.

 

I got about 40k on mine.

Are you religious about checking your tire pressure?

 

It's always on 32psi, I check once very 2 weeks and notice they rarely need any air adjustment.

 

kumhos are soft, that's why I love them for the price. If you want value for the miles go with a passenger tire.
