civic and short shift kits

Default civic and short shift kits

do all civic si's come with short shift kits? or are they all aftermarket? my friend has an si (EF).. i have an si (eg) and my cousin has the 99 si coupe.. and we all have short shift kits.. and i was wondering if they were all stock like that or the previous owner changed it..

more than likely the previous owners changed them. There cheap and easy to do, and they are one of the first things people do to their cars.

They were changed, are you positive they are short shift kits. You do know its not the length of the shifter, but the length of the THROW that makes it different. Believe it or not, some people get confused.

yes.. im aware of what a short shift kit is and a short shifter is.. but yeah.. i was just wondering.. consider my cousin with the 99 si hates them.. i dont know why.. but he has one =P thats what made me wonder.. the previous owner i found out bought one and put on it.. and to top it off.. he cut the shifter.. so yeah.. thanks for the reply

I am second owner of my EM1.

Original owner had Honda Dealership put in a Mid Shifter before he even bought the car because he said the stock shifter was too high.

I didn't even know there was such thing as a Mid Shifter (as opposed to a Short) but I am told my car has one.

I was also unaware of a mid-shifter...
wonder how much honda charged him
