obd0 and obd1 Intake Manifold and Injector Q's
SIMPLER QUESTION:
Can I run obd1 injectors (and intake mani) w/ obd0 ecu?
CAN ANYONE HELP?
Original Post Below:
Well, the good news is I got a new Integra (my old one was totalled), the bad news is it's starting to act up. Here's the facts on the car the way I bought it:
1990 LS
1998 JDM B20B w/ JDM B16 Tranny (short *** gears!)
DC Header (piece of crap)
Everything else is from the obd0 1990 Integra.
Here's my previous car of which the entire front clip is still good:
1993 LS-S
Stock Everything except e-bay Intake
Now here's what's not working on the current one (1990):
The Fast Idle Thermo (FIT) Valve just went out, and it idles back and forth between 1000-2500 hot or cold. It used to stop when it was hot. Now I have two CEL's that come up, Code 7 for Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) and Code 43 for the Fuel System.
Here's the solution, if this is possible, and the questions I have:
Can I take the Intake Manifold from my 1993 (obd1) and hook it up to the motor, and still run the injectors with the obd0 ECU? If not, isn't there anything like a "pulse regulator" that's on the firewall of the driver's side, it's a small silver box, that you unplug to make the injector's work? Or should I swap over the entire ECU and obd1 connections? I will be working on the car this weekend as it is my daily driver, so any help would be appreciated.
TIA.

I would fix what's wrong with the '90 before swapping over everything. The code 43 (fuel system) is more than likely the oxygen sensor. Is it hooked up correctly? You may want to purchase a new one, they are cheap for OBO-0 vehicles, like $25 without the plug.
Are you sure the FITV is whats wrong with that car? You sure there are no vacuum leaks? You may want to swap over just the throttle body from the '93, with the FITV and TPS on it already. I don't know if it's compatible but it should be easy to see by looking at the ports and seeing if the TPS has the same plug.

That's why we were just gonna swap the whole intake manifold, plus this guy said it was better flowing on the 92-93 integras. The only concern is the compatibility with the injectors. I don't mind swapping parts over simply because the other integra isn't going anywhere for a long time, and I will part it out eventually, so if there's something I need to use I should use it now.
