i was wondering if anyone has tried this setup. im looking for a drop and found the H&R's to be just about where i want them. I have a 98 GSR. how much of a difference will i feel?
id love to get a full strut/spring setup, but just dont have the money. i was wondering if this would be a good option.
btw how much would it cost to install and align the springs?
thanks

my friend ahs the h&r springs on his 1999 ls and it was dropped really low and it had stock shocks but it rode pretty badly i would get ground controls the ride nicely good luck
i think lowering your car on stock shocks is a bad idea, i hate looking at the wheel gap on my car too but when i do my suspension im going to do it right the first time, so i have been patient and am saving my pennies for my Koni Yellow / Eibach Pro-Kit setup. it will be worth the wait
I had the OE's with stock shocks for about a year. Ir really rides OK; not real bouncy and fairly firm. The only thing you notice is the rebound stroke is relatively harsh (coming out of a sharp turn, for example). Overall, the car is a little more responsive with just the springs, but it does in NO WAY compare to the ride with the Konis or any other shock. You CAN run the springs with stock shocks, but they will wear out faster. My OEM shocks were still good after a year, but the improvement with shocks is worthe the extra $500.
I did the install of my springs in a day with hand tools and a rented spring compressor in my apartment parking lot. I had never done it before and had no problems...just takes a while.
