Do it and make a video. I want multiple camera angles. Interior: 1aimed out the rear window, 1 at the cluster Exterior: 1 mounted somewhere on the car, 1 with the car coming at it, 1 on the side, and 1 with the car going away from it.
i wouldnt see why not
like the guy said: 5500rpm is 5500rpm
I'm pretty sure for stock the only thing your computer checks is if you're going about a certain mph (ie the vtec <20mph box in uberdata), and what rpm you're at. So i suppose the only thing that would be holding you back is the 20 mph thing, cause i cant say that i've ever looked down at my speedo while going in reverse, so i dont know if it registers
I'd say probably though, unless something in the ecu blocks it, but i cant imagine that ever coming up when they were designing the ECUs
I mean really, reverse is just another gear, no?

I agree. Someone should seriously try it. If it comes down to it, ill just go be a dumbass and try myself. Theres a massively long parking lot near my house. If i do it ill make a vid.

This reminds me of that video some guys did in a snow covered parking lot, beastie boys playing in the background. They were going pretty damn fast in reverse, before whipping the cars around into donuts

I know boost does. lol I was thinking about this question but with boost when my del sol was turbo. so I tried it and sure enough if does. I didn't think it would build enough pressure in reverse.
y0! That's seriously the best technical question I've seen on here.
I wanna go try it in my civic right now. Right after I get outta this f'in Government class....
