Q on a h22a in a civic//rpm's climb real quick at low mph?
Seems like the rpm's raise way fast compared to the d16. I have type s pistons and the motor is jdm, would that mean anything?

Then theres your answer. Ive got a fidanza light weight flywheel, and my rpms do the same thing.

i believe my flywheel to be stock (i have JDM motor, maybe the japanese guy swaped a lighted FW). and my RPM's also climb fast in the down low. i think its because the low end torque of the h22 was designed to move a heavier car. since the civic chassis is a couple hundred lbs lighter, i think the h22 accelerates the car with less effort, therefore, quicker.
what size wheels/tires are you using?
by using a smaller wheel/tire combo than a prelude, you are effectly changing the final drive, making all the gears shorter. I cruise in 4th and 5th all the time.

It's all about the flywheel
If I were you I'd be happy that I had a nice one

i dont understand. what gears would you rather cruise in, 3rd?
even though i cruise in 3rd sometimes, i have too many accidents to risk a another ticket or accident.

Everyone is giving him the wrong answer. The answer is that the h22's tranny has way shorter gearing than the d series, that is why the high rpm @ low mph.
