Default Do shocks lower the ride height?

I have a 2002 Honda Civic (not Si) with Intrax suspension and I'm considering upgrading my shocks to a set of Tokico Illumina. What I want to know is if the new shocks will lower a bit more my car. How does that work?

No shocks won't lower your car, they will just provide a more precise ride.

only way they will lower if they were the wrong application, like they are shorter than yours because they are from a Ford Focus or somethin...

The only struts that I know of that will lower you car with are Koni Yellows. They have adjustable perches on the shock body.

shocks/struts are for dampening.

springs/coilovers are for lowering and raising ride hight.

koni yellows have 3 settings for your spring perch while the neuspeed koni yellows have 5.

the tok. ills. are a good strut to go with for that they have a 5 setting adjustment for dampening.
