Default Driving at night - headlights go out - not normal

Lately, my headlights have been going out every once in a while. I definately know its an eletrical problem of some sort. They're on for a while, but sometimes, they just cut out - i have to play around with the switch to get it to come back on - and i have to step on the gas - maybe i have a pinched wire or something...any suggestions.

Let me guess, you have a 5th Gen, right? I have heard of this issue before. It is the headlight switch on the steering column.

mine did this in my JDM headlights inside of the H4 harness. The wire was arced I think. It melted a little

if this fails unbolt your head lights, go to homedepot, get 2 flood light/flashlights, ductape them to your frame turn them on, and your good to go!

Bottom line: Headlight Relay.

I had the same problem a few years back, tried all the suggestions above, it was the headlight relay. Honda could not determine that was it, because it was an intermitent problem, and didn't fail while they checked it. Stop spending time and money on anything else. I wish someone had told me this, because I would have saved the cost of a new switch, a Honda test, and a shitload of my time.

So if your headlights go OUT at NIGHT, the problem can be fixed by STEPPING ON THE GAS.

LOL sounds easy enough....

Nope not at all - when i step on the gas, the lights don't automatically come back on - like i said before, i have to play around with the switch in sync with stepping on the gas a bit. It doesn't happen often, but every blue moon it does...
