Ok got a 90 CRX DX. Getting ready to swap in a D16Y8 soon. Wanted to swap to the multi point FI first to ensure thats done with no problem so I'm not trouble shooting dumb **** if theres a problem in the swap. The dual point FI doesn't use a Cylinder Sensor like aparently all the multi points do. So I wired up a conversion harness so I could test out the Y8 distributor. The car ran but would only rev to 3500RPM's and I got a CEL code 4 which is the crank sensor. I checked and rechecked the wiring and it's correct. Is there something not compatible on a Y8 distributor. Next step was to wire up the rest and using a obd0 to obd1 harness use my Z6 ecu. Any help on this would be great.

I kinda wondered that but at the same time can't see why it wouldn't. I figured a crank sensor is a crank sensor. ok next question then I'll be using a D16z6 ECU when i do the swap will the the Y8 distributor work with that ecu? And if you know what distributors will work with the SI ecu.
So if you're going with a P28 ECU, OBD1, you want a OBD1 or OBD2 distributor (no you cant use an OBD0)
Dont test anything individually, you should do the COMPLETE swap all at once.
If you want your MPFI swap done right, get a Rywire conversion done to your DX harness.
