Default B16A w/ B16 trans...Your RPMs at shift?

Friend of mine just got a car exactly like mine, and want to tell him everybodies opinion on this. Normally I'm shifting at around 7500 under hard acceleration, and I've heard of people shifting as early as 7000 and as late as 8200 before.

7800-8000 everytime.

i figure these stock internals dont make any real usable power beyond that anyway.

I'de just shift when I started to feel a power difference. or you can go ahead and take it to 8k then when you hit the next gear you should be pretty close to hitting into vtec. whatever works. just tell your friend to take it to the track see what rpm's give him the best times.

my shift light is set at 8.2k but keep in mind. if your redlining every gear all day your going to get mad valve float and trust me, its not cheap to get your valves adjusted.
