tig question

Default tig question

what does it take to convert an arc welder to a tig? jus the tig accessories and a tank for gas? or did i hear something wrong about turning one into the other?

The author of that page may be correct in saying that his conversion kit won't work with a MIG setup, but you can hook a TIG torch to a MIG unit easily, i have done this myself.

well, i have access to a stick welder, and a mig welder, just not a tig... so im trying to get what it takes to convert the stick welder... does tig accessroies hook up and run off of stick welders?
