You have to change the hood, headlights, and bumper lenses as well, and modify the latch piece on the hood to work with the piece on your rad support.

A JDM bumper with a USDM hood and headlights will mess up the hood line (bumper and hood do not mate up properly) and gaps will be left around the headlights. If you don't want it to look ghetto, do it the right way. What's the point of even having a JDM bumper if you're going to half-*** it?

if you do the right mods it should only have a very small gap. *ie unnotticable* i was told how to do it, but wont share if everyone wants to hate.

BTW, since your CRX is an '89, you'd need to change to '90-91 JDM or USDM corner markers as well, since '88-89 headlights will not work with '90-91 JDM/USDM headlight buckets.

bumper can be put on as-is, but as mentioned there will be a gap.

If I were you I'd do it anyways.

eh i'd still do it.

so you guys would also boo me for putting an EF9 front on my CRX.

if you guys are gonna knock that half ***, might as well say, if you put in a jdm from you need the jdm rear everything too or else it won't match. and since you have the jdm rear window, get the other windows jdm, and since the windows are jdm, might as well get jdm doors, and since you now have jdm door panels, might as well get the jdm interiors, might as well get the jdm right hand drive, and now since you have a RHD crx might as well had just bought the real deal. If you don't doo all that, it's sooo half ***.

Yes, because that's retarded.

retarded, eh think as you wish, no matter to me. Fits well and looks good. And just to tip the plate a little more, I left my usdm headlights and hood on there, cause I didn't wanna mess with headlights.

Not all of us are ballers and buy the real deal is my point. Just like people buy vis duckbills instead of the real spoon, looks almost identical but vis is cheaper. Do as you wish and do as you can afford.

Whatever pleases you. It';s not my car. At least with the EF9 bumper you don't leave ghetto-looking gaps around the hood and headlights (lets ignore at this point that it doesnt really match the rest of the car ).

This isn't about real vs. knockoff. I advocate the use of knockoff products as long as they are of good quality (i.e. Rota wheels) and not ****.

This is about doing something half-assed vs. doing it right (i.e. tying your exhaust up with a bent-up coat hanger instead of using proper rubber exhaust hangers).

true true, prehaps I jumped the gun to resond to your post. but a jdm bumper isn't gonna look that bad. It's obvious that he's not trying to make it a true jdm crx, but justs wants the feel of it. Like having a to go packet of soy sauce rather than a whole jug.

(I think this is where I formulated the whole spoon thing) But even if he uses the jdm bumper only, if it's done correctly it won't look half *** like the exhaust hanger example you provided, but will actually look nice and look like it was meant to be. He wants the jdm look (vis wing) but not shell out money and buy the complete package (spoon wing).

I hope this sheds some light on what I was trying to say. If not oh well, my mind just works differently.

It will look like **** unless he gets all the ****. I tried to see what it looked like with just the bumper on mine. I then decided it didnt look good and installed the rest.

why is ignorance spreading like wildfire here.

the SIR lights are 3 inches longer, so the SIR bumper has a cut in it for those 3 inch longer lights.

put just the bumper on and you get a shitty looking gap for three inches past where the usdm headlights stop.

go back to the ghetto with that ****.

With the hatch the EF9 front bumper can be used with the us filler piece, headlights and so on, I am sure with some shimming and fitting it could look good but from the pics i have seen its off

The crx with the EF8 front is a whole different story and with just the bumper it will look like *** and nothing will line up but you make the call.

There is nothing here to argue about, use the right parts it fits, dont and it wont fit

thats the gap between a usdm headlight front bumper and a jdm hood... maybe that will give you some perspective on how it will look with just the jdm bumper and a usdm hood and lights. it just doesnt line up right. why do you want to spend money on something that isnt complete or doesnt look right. take your time and do it right jdm front ends can be beautiful things no need to rush it and make it look like crap.
