Default Tail light/gauge light fuse blown

A few months ago my tail light and gauge light fuse blew. I thought i figured out what caused it. I noticed a connector somehow fell off the back of my radio harness and was shorting out on the cigarette lighter...or so i thought. It was the only thing i could find.

Last night i was driving and my gauges started to flicker. I pulled over and pulled the fuse out and it was really hot, but wasnt blown. But now i cant figure out whats going on....any help is greatly aprecciated. Oh and it is the correct amperage fuse.
Thanks again

Make sure the illumination wires in the radio harness (orange wires) are taped up nicely. those tend to not be used and can cause problems. and yes those wires get power from that fuse.
