wow...that is amazing. I'd fancy the idea of trying to get Acura to pay for that. That is something that should not happen by simply snapping the ice off your wiper.

oh wow soory to hear about that. It is very true though if you pop those things back just the right way it will crack or break the glass
A Friend of mine with an accord was replacing his wipers in my driveway and he did the same thing just let it drop back down. He now has a Huge crack all the way across his windshield
So becarefull when you are messing with the Wipers

Dude.. in a situation like that- call your insurance company. Usually if you have full coverage on your car, you can have 2 shields replaced for free, but i'm not too sure about the rear window. But still- you are covered for 2 windows.

Hope the best turns out for you man.

Hope you have glass coverage. I thought glass was stronger than that.

Damn that sucks.I have a four door gsr and every time it snows or car is covered in ice I have to be super carefull when I open the doors or the glass will break.
Its because there is no "door" for the topp half its all window and thats what makes contact to the car. So when theres ice its really shity because I know one day it could break and i'd be screwed.

It probably cracked since the metal part of the wiper slapped the glass. Had a good wiper blade been on the car, you'd probably have a rear window still.

i did the same thing to a subaru svx at work one day years ago. the boss was soooo pissed. subaru svx windshields have some special coating on them and are NOT available aftermarket. you have to go through subaru fro them. cost the company about 1100 bucks.
