Default Problems W/ B16 (HELP!)

I have a B16 (OBD0) in my 90 Integra GS that was installed a bit ago, I have had this problem since the beggining pretty much. First thing in the morning my car will start right up but it sounds like crap, it sputers and acts like it's going to stall. If I click my ignition over and 1-2 differnt times (turning the key over but shutting it back off before it starts) it will start fine, I just have to let it warm up a little... If I don't let it warm up before I drive the car it feels like it's struggling to move. I am running a Mugen chip in my PR3 Computer if that helps. I don't have the knock sensor hooked up, but I have been told by numerous people that the chip I have doesn't use the knock sensor.

The starting problem is only in the mornings when its cold, or when it's just really cold out. In the summer time I can get the car to idle at one point, it is either idling higher or lower then I want it.

NO CEL light.

Overall when the car warms up for a while it don't run too bad. I thought it would be a little faster then it is but it's all stock right now except a short ram intake, chip, wires, and muffler.

Any input? Anyone? Thanks in advance.

Those chips just eliminate the cel from getting triggered. They shut off things in the ecu rater than dealing with them.Sounds like there is no cold idle program. When you turn off and turn on the key,the pump cycles and gives it a shot off fuel. This is the price that is paid for the "mugan" chips. You will have better results with hondata or uberdata, chrome or some of the others.

Sorry, just saw obdo. That means current hondata won't work for you. There are still options for real programing of the ecu out there tho.

Think I should try a stock PR3? It started before I put in the chip though. I also have another chip I may try to see if I get anything different.

Would that effect the idle at all?

Can you direct any sites that I can get a real ECU program?

Give the stock pr3 a try if you have one.It may throw a code depending on how your set up,but it should start and idle ok.That will at least tell you if your fuel system is working. Here's a dyi program site. http://www.pgmfi.org/

check your fuel injectors, swap them if you can.

had a similar case where the injectors performed terrible when cold, once warmed up much better but still not 100%.

swapped injectors, runs fine cold.

NJIN BUILDR - You help is much appreciated thanks.

IVI - I will also try swapping the injectors and I may even try the injector pack since I have an extra one. Thanks for the suggestion.

I've been tring to figure this out for about a year now! I want to figure this problem out before I got any further with more modifications to the car. Thanks again.
